SMALL MIRACLES
There are many daunting obstacles to the success of The Jerusalem Project. In order to bring The Aloha Spirit to The Holy Land and build The Creator’s House, hatreds and resentments built up over tens of generations will have to be overcome, or at least set aside. Jewish, Christian, Islamic and secular organizations will have to work together for the common good.
In the beginning, Sky had such a hard time getting people to even consider building The Creator’s House as a rational possibility that he began calling it a ‘small miracle’ when someone would embrace The Project. When the America song “Ride On” came out, which was a small miracle to Sky, he began calling these people ‘Shining Stars’.
And although it would appear that it would take a miracle for The Jerusalem Project to succeed, consider that The Dead Sea Scrolls have been found, the United Nations has been established and that television and the internet have made it possible for the entire planet to be united in one electronic community.
The latest Small Miracle concerns Mount Sinai and The Ark:
THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
For the first time in millennia, we now know fairly well what The Ark looks like, if Simcha Jacobovici is correct.
Jacobovici is the producer of the History Channel’s two-hour TV program “The Exodus Decoded”, the first hour and a half of which is devoted to a possible scientific explanation for the events described in The Torah, based on a new timeline that places The Exodus some two hundred years earlier than had previously been thought, coincident with the explosive eruption of Santorini.
The last half hour begins with Jacobovici’s claim to have found the Sea of Reeds, where the waters parted and the Israelites were saved. He then presents convincing evidence that he has settled the scholarly dispute and has accurately identified Mount Sinai, where The LORD spoke out of the fire on the day of Assembly and where Moses received The Ten Commandments and The Torah. In the last fifteen minutes, Jacobovici explores the possibility that a certain relic, which has been in a museum all along, contains a picture of The Ark.
If he’s right, The Ark of The Covenant looks very much like this:
The vertical structures on the top, which resemble crowns with high spires, may function as lightning hit charge facilitators. Nikola Tesla’s observation that The Ark would function as a giant capacitor suggests that after being struck by lightning, and if handled very carefully and used on a prepared battleground, The Ark might be a formidable weapon, scaring, disabling or even killing an adversary.
Sometime, perhaps even in the near future, The Ark may be definitively located underneath Jerusalem by some non-invasive scientific means, using something like a ground-penetrating CAT scan or MRI.
THE SCIENCE
Another Small Miracle is the discovery of further evidence for Sky’s hypothesis about the actual speed of light, which he calls subjective relativity. It is a fact that a laser shot fired at a corner reflector on the Moon will return to the spot from which it is fired rather than somewhere downrange.
For decades, McDonald Observatory in Texas has been precisely measuring the distance to the Moon by firing lasers at corner reflectors left there. These experiments have shown that the Moon’s orbit is slowly enlarging.
They have also established that the return signal from these laser shots is best detected at the same place as the transmitter. Experience has shown that the strength of the return is greatest at the spot from which the laser was fired rather than somewhere downrange.
This data supports subjective relativity, which claims that the actual ontological speed of light is far, far faster than the epistemologically observed speed of light:
The first part of the explanation of this claim, that the experience of McDonald Observatory supports subjective relativity, involves an analysis of the Earth as a moving platform. As explained in “The Speeds of Light”, since light has a momentum that approaches zero, at any given moment that a photon is emitted from a moving platform, any velocity that the platform might have, in any direction, would be irrelevant.
This means that when a laser shot is fired from the Earth, the photons in that shot will behave exactly as if they had been fired from a stationary platform.
But the Earth, as a platform, may be regarded as moving from many points of view. Let us consider only one of them, the daily rotation around the spin axis:
In the approximately 2.565 seconds between the firing of a laser at a corner reflector on the Moon and the detection of its return on the Earth, the Earth's surface will turn on its axis about .74 miles at the equator.
Imagine that a bullet is fired at the Moon from a gun at the equator. Imagine that the bullet travels 160,000 miles/second. If it could somehow be instantaneously turned around when it got to the Moon and sent back the way it came at the same speed, it would take about 3 seconds to make the round trip and would strike the Earth almost a mile west of the spot from which it was fired.
A similar imaginary bullet traveling 185,000 miles/second would strike the Earth more than half a mile west. The fact that light returns back to the spot from which it is beamed instead of somewhere downrange shows that light does not behave anything like our imaginary bullet.
Subjective relativity explains that if you were able to ride alongside the laser shot, from your point-of-view and the point-of-view of the photons in the laser shot, the time that it would take you both to go to the Moon and back would approach zero. Subjective relativity predicts that the signal strength of the return will be greatest near the transmitter, almost regardless of how far away the target corner reflector is located.
If subjective relativity is correct, and the observed limitation of the speed of light is an epistemological phenomenon without an ontological counterpart, the increase in mass observed in relativistically fast-moving particles is also an epistemological phenomenon without an ontological counterpart.
If “The Heartbeat Argument” is right, there is no ontological speed limit and no increase in ontological mass, regardless of speed or acceleration. There is no Higgs field and no Higgs particle.
Nevertheless, the best description of reality may be that it contains both subjective and objective relativity; that just as quantum states may be best described as existing simultaneously, and that just as the experience of a color or a pain may be best understood to be as real as a doorknob, it may be that the best answer to the objective relativity versus subjective relativity question is that it is both.
MAYBE IT’S BOTH
It appears that the answer to the controversy between evolution and intelligent design is the same as Winston Groom’s character Forrest Gump’s answer to the controversy between accident and destiny:
“Maybe it’s both.”
Evolution has been scientifically established by the fossil record beyond any reasonable doubt. We also now know about DNA. We know that there is more difference between the DNA of the lifeforms found around hydrothermal vents deep in the ocean than there is in the DNA of all other living things on the surface of the Earth.
We also know that there is more difference between the DNA of different individuals in Africa than there is in the DNA of all of the rest of us. We now know that, except for the Africans, we humans really are biologically one people.
The controversy is over whether or not we are the creation of accident and the survival of the fittest alone, or whether humans are also bioengineered lifeforms, Created by our Owner.
The fact that we can be hypnotized may be evidence that humans are a Created lifeform. If humans were but an accident of evolution, it is unlikely that we would end up hypnotizable. On the other hand, this might be a very desirable trait in a Created lifeform.
THE TORAH CODE
The existence of hidden messages in The Torah is extremely compelling evidence for the existence of The God Of The Covenant, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Secret messages been found mathematically encoded in The Hebrew Letters that make up the first five Books of The Bible, describing events in human history that occurred long after The Torah was recorded.
According to The Tradition, The Creator dictated The Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai letter by letter, in a single uninterrupted string of 304,805 Hebrew characters. There were no capitals, spaces or punctuation.
Because It has been painstakingly preserved by generations of diligent scribes, we are able today, with the help of computers, to find encoded messages that have been in It all along. Dates are also found because Hebrew, like Latin, uses the same characters to represent both numbers and letters.
Historically, a very few hidden messages had been found by hand using a technique called the Equidistant Letter Skip (ELS). With the advent of computers, however, an astonishing number of additional messages have been found. Research has been greatly aided by arranging the single string of Hebrew characters into a two-dimensional grid, or matrix.
An example of an ELS already found is the following:
IT WAS CREATED BY COMPUTER
So many encoded messages have already been found in The Torah using the ELS technique that they are reported in two hour-long TV programs, the History Channel’s “Bible Code I” and “Bible Code II”.
This phenomenon should more properly be called The Torah Code, however, since encoded messages appear to exist only in the original Hebrew Torah. Finding an ELS message in an English translation of the New Testament would most likely be purely accidental.
Although it is possible, using the ELS technique, to find occasional hidden ‘messages’ in any work, in any language, this is just statistics, the result of big numbers. On the other hand, the messages found in The Torah using the ELS technique far, far exceed random. In addition, there is the added phenomenon that they physically cluster together by topic.
For example, the following three ELS messages have been found close together in the same part of The Torah:
1. COMET HITS
2. EARTH ANNIHILATED
3. 2012
But in another place two messages are found close together:
1. COMET
2. I WILL DESTROY IT
There may also be messages encoded in The Torah using more complicated mathematics than simple equidistant letter skips. For example, there may be messages encoded in Fibonacci series Letter Skips (FLS’s).
To generalize the process of generating the next letter of an encoded message from the one before it, consider the equation:
Letter N+1 = f (Letter N)
In the case of ELS’s, the function f is simply plus or minus some constant number. If there are FLS’s, the letter skips might be plus or minus 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ...
There may be other letter skip functions which will prove useful in finding hidden messages. There may also be messages encoded using some other technique besides letter skip functions, like pictures.
As mentioned in the voiceover for the song, “Thy Will Be Done”, the text of these encoded messages is called ‘supertext’,
There may even be special messages created by the characters where lines of code intersect with each other, especially in matrices of more than two dimensions. Messages created using the characters at the intersections of lines of code are called ‘hypertext’.
Finally, there may also be encoded messages in The Ten Commandments.
The existence of these secret messages, and the fact that they have accurately reported future events, is conclusive scientific evidence that the Earth and the humans on it are not simply an accident, but are the Creation of An Agency which can either see into the future and/or has The Power to make the future proceed according to Plan.
THE SECOND SET OF TABLETS
More evidence of the existence of The Creator may be found inside The Ark of The Covenant. Stone Tablets may be found with letters inscribed using a technology unavailable to humans at the time. Although The Torah says that Moses wrote down what he was Told on the first set of Tablets,
Exodus 34:27
“And The LORD said to Moses: Write down these Commandments, for in accordance with these Commandments I make a Covenant with you and with Israel.”
this first Set was reportedly destroyed when Moses came down from The Mountain. However, according to The Tradition, a second Set was created. This second set of Tablets may contain hard evidence of a writing technique that would confirm The Creator’s existence:
Deuteronomy 10:4-5
“The LORD inscribed on The Tablets the same text as on the first, the Ten Commandments that He addressed to you on The Mountain out of the fire on the day of the Assembly; and The LORD gave them to me.
Then I left and went down from The Mountain, and I deposited The Tablets in The Ark that I had made, where they still are, as The LORD had commanded me.”
