Back | Current News News Archive 4/24/08 TJP News Update  The Creator of the Earth has Instructed Sky to call himself THE BRANCH and to speak with authority.In addition to fulfilling the prophecy that THE BRANCH would come from far away to build The House of The LORD, the prophecy that THE BRANCH would write his own Torah has already been fulfilled, as Sky has been told that the position in his book of philosophy "All Is One" is correct. Sky derived an equation (Et2=md2) while working on that position in the early 80's which shows that just as mass can be converted into energy, so also can distance. He was immediately told by The Creator that this could unleash a power far beyond the atom bomb, capable of destroying planets. He was instructed not to reveal it. However, now that this energy source is known as 'zero point energy', Sky has been told that it is righteous to promote and explain "All Is One". Sky also has two other speculations, which may or may not prove to be correct, which he has discussed since 2000 with physicist Dr. John Learned: 1. That electromagnetic radiation (light), like anything else moving at relativistic speeds, is actually traveling much faster than we OBSERVE it to be traveling; and 2. That distance and time have a quantum nature just as do energy and mass. Sky has also advocated for new units of distance and time to be chosen, based on universal constants, so that the OBSERVED speed of light will be equal to 1. BEGIN SPECULATION 1 5/28/08 The following will further elucidate Speculation 1, that light is ACTUALLY travelling far, far faster than we OBSERVE it to be travelling: "THE SPEEDS OF LIGHT" It is well understood that light travels at different speeds. We know that it moves somewhat more slowly through a medium such as water or glass than it does through a vacuum. We've observed in our experiments that nothing seems to travel quite as fast as the OBSERVED speed of light IN A VACUUM, 'c'. 'Particles' accelerated to speeds near this speed APPEAR, with increasing acceleration, to begin to increase in mass instead of increasing appreciably in speed. No matter how much they are accelerated, their speed APPEARS to approach c as a limit. This relativistic fact of life has led to the misunderstanding that the OBSERVED speed of light IN A VACUUM, c, is some sort of ACTUAL PHYSICAL LIMITATION, a speed barrier beyond which nothing can travel. Sky's hypothesis is that there is NO ACTUAL relativistic LIMITATION on how fast light, or anything else, can travel. (There may be a possible quantum limitation, as explained in "Digital Universe.") His particular insight is that the ACTUAL speed of light, 'A', is far, far faster than the OBSERVED speed of light, c. If this speculation is correct, the explanation for the APPARENT limitation of speed observed in our experiments is that there is, in nature, a relativistic LIMITATION OF OBSERVATION. The viewpoint of a 'stationary' observer is not as accurate as the viewpoint of an observer on a starship travelling at an ACTUAL speed many, many times faster than the OBSERVED speed of light. The viewpoint of an 'outside' observer is seen through a relativistic lens that distorts what is ACTUALLY happening. If this view of the relativistic nature of reality is correct, the ACTUAL mass of starships will NOT increase as they accelerate to relativistic speeds. Their ACTUAL speed will NOT be limited to something less than c. The graphic illustrates the speculated relationship between the ACTUAL speed of a relativistically fast starship and the APPARENT speed of that starship to a stationary observer: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ACTUAL AND OBSERVED SPEED  It can be seen from the graphic that for anything to be OBSERVED to be travelling very nearly the OBSERVED speed of light, it must ACTUALLY be travelling very fast indeed, and to be OBSERVED to be travelling AT c, it must ACTUALLY be going far, far faster than c.If this view of reality is correct, interstellar travel is possible. It may also solve the 'horizon problem' in cosmology. The following thought experiment works out the consequences of these speculations, using the OBSERVED behaviour of the light from the Earth and from the headlights and taillights of two starships capable of relativistic speeds, as seen from the Earth and from the ships: "SKY'S THOUGHT EXPERIMENT" Let's imagine that there are three identical triplets, the Relatio brothers, Actualo, Trailer and Observo, who have built two starships capable of accelerating continuously at incredibly high 'g's. For example, let's say that the ships can accelerate at a hundred, or a thousand, or ten thousand, or ten million g's (10 mega g's). Also, let's assume that the brothers have found a way to protect passengers in these ships so that they may travel safely without being squashed by the acceleration. Finally, let's imagine that they can communicate with each other, which will be possible if the following example is correct: The first brother, Actualo, takes off in the first starship and accelerates away from the Earth at about one mega g (32,000,000 ft/sec/sec or 6,060 mi/sec/sec). At this acceleration (2 c/min), Actualo will approach the OBSERVED speed of light in about a half a minute. Ten minutes later, when the second brother, Trailer, takes off in the second ship to follow him, Actualo will ACTUALLY be travelling at about 20 c, but his ship will APPEAR to Trailer and Observo to increase in mass and be travelling at something less than c. After Actualo and Trailer have accelerated at 1 mega g (2,880 c/day) for several days and are ACTUALLY travelling thousands of times faster than the OBSERVED speed of light, they will still OBSERVE red-shifted light from Observo back on the Earth coming at them and passing them by at the OBSERVED speed of light (or nearly so). When the brother in the lead ship, Actualo, turns on his headlights, their light will appear to him to beam out ahead of him at the OBSERVED speed of light, c. Trailer and Observo will also see the light from Actualo's headlights travelling at speed c. If a medium, like glass or water, is placed in front of Actualo's headlights, all three brothers will see the light slowed somewhat to something less than c. When the brother in the second ship, Trailer, turns on his headlights, their light will also be OBSERVED by each of the three brothers to be travelling at speed c. Actualo will see the light from Trailer's headlights going past him at speed c. Trailer will see their light going past Actualo at speed c. Observo will see the other two brother's starships moving away from the Earth at something less than c, and the light from Trailer's headlights, moving at speed c, overtaking Actualo. Since light has a mass, and therefore a momentum that approaches zero, at any given moment that a photon is emitted from the headlights or taillights of the starships, any velocity that the ships might have, in any direction, would be irrelevant. Consider the light from their taillights: No matter how fast Actualo is ACTUALLY travelling, the light from his taillights will be OBSERVED by all three brothers to be travelling back toward Trailer and Observo at the OBSERVED speed of light, c. Imagine that Trailer and Actualo co-ordinate their accelerations so that Trailer is travelling a fixed distance behind Actualo. As Trailer catches up to Actualo in ACTUAL speed, he will OBSERVE Actualo's APPARENT speed, relative to him, to fall from something less than c down to zero. He will OBSERVE the light from Actualo's taillights to be constantly coming at him at speed c, their red shift diminishing as he catches up. END OF THOUGHT EXPERIMENT If the notions in this thought experiment are correct, the OBSERVED speed of light IN A VACUUM can now be understood NOT as a speed barrier of some sort, but as caused by a relativistic LIMITATION OF outside OBSERVATION. From the point of view of philosophy, even if these speculations about physics are correct, they only illustrate 'what' is happening. And although knowing what is happening is quite valuable in that it allows us to predict events and make calculations, the deeper questions, "How can reality be relativistic?", "Why is reality relativistic?" and "Why does c have the value that it does and not some other value?" remain unanswered. MEASURING THE ACTUAL SPEED OF LIGHT, A It may be possible to measure the ACTUAL speed of light, A, in this example, if Actualo and Trailer, matching speeds and accelerations, could only go fast enough. For example, if the OBSERVED speed of the light from the Earth behind them could be measured finely enough so that an increasing decrease could be observed in the OBSERVED speed of that light as Actualo and Trailer's speed increased, the ACTUAL speed of light could perhaps be calculated. This would be a, the ACTUAL speed of light from its own point of view, the speed observers would experience if they were somehow able to 'ride the light'. This ACTUAL speed of light is the speed which can probably not be surpassed by any PHYSICAL phenomena. Paranormal phenomena, like telepathy, are another matter. END OF SPECULATION 1 BEGIN SPECULATION 2 6/01/08 The following will further explain Speculation 2, that distance and time have a quantum nature. This notion may turn out to be correct even if Speculation 1 is incorrect: "DIGITAL UNIVERSE" The view in "Sky's Thought Experiment" is that no matter how fast Actualo and Trailer are ACTUALLY travelling, no matter how hard they accelerate and no matter for how long, they will still continue to OBSERVE increasingly red-shifted light from the Earth, and from the sun, and from the stars behind them, to come at them and pass them by at the OBSERVED speed of light (or nearly so, if it turns out that A can be measured). In order for this view to be correct, the ACTUAL speed of light would have to approach being infinitely fast. Speculation 2 provides a way for this to be the case. Even if the ACTUAL 'quantum speed' of light, A, was so fast that a photon could cross the universe in one quantum time 'frame' of reality, it would still have some discrete velocity, rather than being infinitely fast.
